Sent request to application gateway time out

I create and config azure application gateway, it is work about 8 hours before. I tested it use postman and JMeter.

I do not do any change but cannot send request to application gateway by postman.

Could you please share the error message received, if any?

Also, what is the backend health status of your Application gateway?

Hi backend health status is healthy. Please reference the screenshot.

I run the "Connection troubleshoot" I get some error message.

Another very strange thing is: I use both JMeter and Postman to test the application gateway.

At first, both successfully. I do not do any change about gateway.

But after 8 hours,

Sometimes, JMeter failed([atapplicationgateway.germanywestcentral.cloudapp.azure.com/4.184.156.103] failed: Connection timed out: no further information).

Sometimes Postman failed (Could not send request).

Sometimes both failed.

Great appreciate any suggestion.

@Eric Huang , from the connection troubleshoot screenshot, it looks like connectivity test is failing with 0 probes sent.

What is your probe setting? Are you using a default probe or custom probe?

Also, does your Application gateway shows "failed" in the Overview tab as below?

And what is the backend application setup behind your Application gateway?

I found the application gateway FQDN from your previous comment and tried accessing it directly and receiving a HTTP 404 error:

Sorry, GitaraniSharma, very late to replay. The root cuase of the issue is NSG block the traffic. I add the inbound security and outbound security rule, but it looks like been removed. I also do not know why?

If you're using your Microsoft employee (eg. AIRS) subscription, then there is automation in place to ensure NSG's are created on subnets. Depending on the nature of the rules you've you've added they may be against policy and are being removed.
