Hello,

Recently my computer has been working slower and when I looked at the task manager I saw something called "XUService.exe" and it was in my Startup apps as well. When I searched about it I only found about "Xtuservice.exe" and I couldn't find anything about XUService.exe on the internet so I think it might be a virus. Screenshot (3)

    Hi @Emre

It is possible that XUService.exe is a virus or a malware that is disguised as Xtuservice.exe, which is a legitimate process that belongs to the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) software. XTU is a software that allows you to overclock or undervolt your CPU and GPU to improve the performance of your computer. However, some malware or virus may use the similar name as Xtuservice.exe to avoid detection and consume your CPU resources.

To check if XUService.exe is a virus or not, it is recommended that you can try Windows scan.

    Hope the information is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
