How android phones work with Authenticator in China?

Dear Experts,

We have quite a lot of users in China using Android phone from Chinese manufacturers, Huawei, Mi, Opp, etc, that do NOT support GOOGLE PLAY. when they are prompted to scan the QR code they failed to registered in the app. There is no even option of Work or school account there.

Is there any possible option for Android users in China to use Microsoft authenticator? We don't really need push notification, verification code showing in the authenticator app would also work for us, if that's possible?

sorry but you didn't get the point. Our users in China they downloaded and installed the Authenticator in Mi, Huawei, OPP app stores but the app didnt wokr. I already read the official article for many times but the question is how to get the following scenarios work? that's where I need advices:(

Pre-existing two-step verification account performing manual check for notifications

Two-step verification using temporary verification codes only

Existing phone sign-in verification by performing manual check for verification requests

The key for the solution of this issue is making sure China users are not included in your registration campaign.

This allows users to use other methods to do the MFA.

When using Microsoft Authenticator, choose "I want to use a different authentictor app". But you still can use your Microsoft Authenticator to scan the QR code. Then verification code will show in Authenticator. This does not rely on google services. It works in China.

I am having the similar issue with PRC users that failed the registration . For downloading , yes they are able to download and sintall on mobile
