Can a Organiser leave a meeting before the session ends? In addition, there is one Co-orgniser remain in the meeting during my leave. Will this impact the meeting?

Hi Teams,

Usually i am the organiser of the Teams meetings, however, i may not able to stay through the meetings. I would need to leave the meeting early, and the co-organiser will remain in the meeting. Will my leave impact the session?

The meeting will not end. I did a test in our environment, when the meeting organizer leave the meeting, other participants still in the meeting.

You can assign the co-organizer as the primary organizer before you leave the meeting, and they will be able to manage the meeting as needed. If you want to be absolutely sure that the meeting will continue without any issues, you can assign another co-organizer to the meeting as a backup.

I would like to check if I were to assign a organiser during the meeting before I leave, will i get to download the attendance?

In Teams, the meeting organizer can download an attendance report after the meeting has ended. Here are the steps to do so:

Go to the calendar view in Teams and find the meeting you want to download attendance for.

Click on the meeting to open it.

Click on the three dots icon in the top right corner and select "Meeting notes".

In the Meeting notes pane, click on the "Attendance" tab.

Click on the "Export" button to download the attendance report.
