Hello, I would like to kindly ask you for some map how to fullfill my target of auto tagging and labeling of office document (docx, excel) by Azure AI services. No documentation on MS sites so far. Only for files like pdf, jpg, png. Please give me advice if there is this option already. Thank you a lot.

Hello @70077647 , Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Pre-built Read OCR Model in the Azure AI Document Intelligence service does support for extracting text from Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HTML documents: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/document-intelligence/concept-read?view=doc-intel-3.1.0#microsoft-office-and-html-text-extraction

Custom models in the Document intelligence can be used to label a dataset of documents with the values you want extracted and train the model on the labeled dataset. But Microsoft Office files are currently not supported in this model.

According to my knowledge, only these services are supported related to labeling and extracting text from office document.

Please try these and see if they are helpful.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Vasavi
