Windows Server 2016 AD GPO Error - The system cannot find the path specified.

Hello,

I'm currently facing this error "Failed to open the Group Policy Object. You might not have the appropriate rights" The system cannot find the path specified.

I have done all the technical troubleshooting but all to no avail.

Please anyone with solution should help. Kindly see the attached error screenshot.

    Hi @Everyone!

    I have been able to fix the above error.

    To help others who might be facing this type of error, the below steps are the steps I used to fix the error:

    1. I cleared all the DNS records
    2. I checked to ensure the SYSVOL folder was intact
    3. I took a backup of the Domain policy and the Domain Controller Policy
    4. I opened the Command Prompt as an Administrator in the primary DC
    5. And I ran the command dcgpofix to restore the default policy.
