Problem/Symptom:
After installing the quality update KB5001716, none of the Office programs responded, even Adobe programs stopped working.
Solution/Workaround:
The update brought some mess in the registry.
We have to go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\winword.exe, locate UseFilter and delete the value. Did the same for Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Excel, Acrobat, etc. Now it works.
