Can I stop a Managed Grafana instance when it is not in use?

Azure Managed Grafana pricing is based on three parts:

The instance, each running 24/7, is always on and cannot be halted.

You pay a monthly fee for each active user.

If you enable zone redundancy, extra costs are charged (this option must be activated on creation).

Please check the pricing for your region.

If you want more control, running Grafana on a VM gives you more control. This you can stop and start when needed. Please consider this carefully regarding maintenance and security (you expose an inbound port on the public internet if no extra network/firewall features are enabled).
