Yes, it is possible to use Approvals in Teams to approve PIM Activation requests. You can create an approval flow in Power Automate that triggers when a new PIM Activation request is submitted, and then use the Approvals action in Power Automate to create an approval request in Teams. When the request is approved or rejected, the flow can update the PIM Activation request accordingly.

@Chris Meisner There is a default template available for this requirement - https://powerautomate.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/details/190c5a56070e4a8b802089be6455553e/forward-emails-to-a-channel/ I have tested it in my lab and it works as expected.

@Givary-MSFT This only forwards an email to the channel, group chat, or user in teams. It does not provide an interactive approval. Secondly, there is a limit to the size of a Teams chat and the default email template that MS uses to send approvals via email exceeds this limit. I was able to build what you suggested with just the email subject and link to the approval blade, which at least servs as a notification but its not actionable within Teams.

I have the same need, which is to send Entra ID PIM approval request not only to email, but also to a Teams channel for approval. We do not need it to be actionable from the Teams post.

Can someone share a link to the PowerBi template or a working guide on setting this up?

Same question as Jack, I'd like to look at this and this seems to be what we need. I assume I'd need to find the event in our Log Analytics and then go from there somehow.

+1 Having PIM activation requests go to a Teams channel with or without it being actionable would be very helpful.

@Chris Meisner Thank you for reaching out to us, As I understand you are looking for an option where you can approve PIM activation requests via Teams channel.

Approving PIM activation requests via Teams is not possible at this point of time, I have seen few experts mentioning this can be achieved via Power automate, couldn't find relevant documentation with the steps which I can share here.
