Unable to share certification - issue with credential link?!

Hi,

I'm currently unable to share my certifications to LinkedIn. When attempting to do so from a desktop device I get a 'Something Went wrong' error message from LinkedIn. When attempting to do so from a mobile device I get an error stating 'Cannot display preview. You can post as is, or try another link'.

Upon selecting 'copy credential link' from my Microsoft learn account and pasting it into a browser I get a web page displaying code what I believe to me in XML format.

This happens on all my certifications via Microsoft learn. I didn't have issues sharing via credly previously. This issue also occurs on numerous devices and browsers (including incognito and private browsing). I don't believe this to be an issues locally or with Linkedin but an issue Microsoft's side

    Hi Adam,

Currently it is generating incorrect links. The correct link should be your profile URL + credentials + credential ID. For example, say you view one of your certificates and see that the Credential ID is 6231DAB619FA8F1. The correct sharing URL in that case would be as below:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/users/adamjsmith1995/credentials/6231dab619fa8f1

Using the above you can manually share your certifications while they are fixing the site.

    Thanks.

I'd try asking for assistance with cert results and transcripts in dedicated forums here. Participate\Ask A Question Learn / Cert Moderators will help you from there.

    Dashboard

    Certification Profile/Certification Dashboard

Microsoft Certification / Exams / Score Reports or Exam Results

Microsoft Certification / Certification Profile / Transcript / Missing Exams or Certifications
