    Hi kadji Noumbissie thierry Muriel,

We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Depending on how they are utilized and maintained in a cloud computing environment, virtual machines (VMs) can be regarded as a component of both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

IaaS is all about providing virtualized computing resources via the internet, including virtual machines, storage, and networking. In IaaS users are in charge of controlling the complete software stack, including the operating system, middleware, and applications running on the virtual machine.

In PaaS, VMs are frequently hidden from the user allowing developers to concentrate entirely on creating and deploying apps without having to worry about infrastructure configuration or server maintenance.

In conclusion, VMs are categorized as IaaS or PaaS.
