Restore point and files in Desktop, Documents, etc.

I need clarification because I'm getting conflicting answers about what's in a restore point on Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server.

Are the contents of various users Work folders (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Videos) saved into restore points?

If so, if I have configured Windows to save these folders to another disk or partition (for example D:\Users), what happens by creating a restore point on C:?

They shouldn't be saved, right?

System restore points are often unavailable or fail.

There are known bugs with system restore.

    Microsoft deprecated backup imaging.

For backup imaging it's best to use free or pay versions of third party software:

(Acronis, Aoemi, EaseUS, Macrium, Paragon, etc.)

Well AppData is within the user profile. You could also create a system image and choose the disks you want to include.

Windows restore points protect the operating system and files not your documents.
