Hello on the sign in page for Entra External ID, the country field can only be a textbox or radio button. Is there a way to use a dropdown value here? If a dropdown is possible, is there anyway to restrict certain countries from showing up in the dropdown? And would the countries be translated in the languages supported by EEID?

Hi @Barry Sullivan

Thanks for reaching out.

Currently as Entra External Id is still in preview, we have only specified user input types defined for the attributes.

However, you can create events on attributes before collecting the info from the user and at time of attribute submission.

Refer - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity-platform/custom-extension-attribute-collection?context=%2Fentra%2Fexternal-id%2Fcustomers%2Fcontext%2Fcustomers-context&tabs=start-continue%2Csubmit-continue

You can translate the sign in page and its attributes using company branding as well using user flow.

To translate the values of countries, you need to pass those values in that language to display on sign in page.

We have been receiving feedback and suggestions to make the product better. You can submit the request here https://feedback.azure.com/d365community/forum/22920db1-ad25-ec11-b6e6-000d3a4f0789and our engineering team might investigate it.

Hope this will help.

Thanks,

Shweta
