Hi,

I've disabled the sign-in option property on Exchange Online:

What I noticed is that some users are still able to sign into their e-mails after I've disabled this option.

I kindly ask for a bit of clarification on the next questions:

  • Why is disabling this option not preventing all the users to sign in?
  • Why is it still possible for some users to successfully sing into their e-mails?

Thanks

    Hi @Domagoj Grguric

This application Office 365 Exchange Online (00000002-0000-0ff1-ce00-000000000000) is intended for Exchange management rather than user mailbox access.

Please refer to: "Sorry, but we're having trouble signing you in" error when signing in to Microsoft 365

If the goal is to prevent users from accessing their mailboxes, you can consider using conditional access policy instead or disable protocols to access mailboxes following the below steps:

    1. Go to the Exchange admin center > Recipients > Mailboxes.
    2. Select the user mailbox from the list and then, in the Details Pane (on the right-hand side), select Manage email apps settings under Email apps. Turn Off the slider for all the options; Mobile (Exchange ActiveSync), Outlook on the web, Outlook desktop (MAPI), Exchange web services, POP3, and IMAP.
    3. Select Save.
