Azure Openai Studio Chat Issue

Hey there,

two weeks ago I was testing chat with your data in azure openai studio following this tutorial https://youtu.be/u0AUwOKxUsg and it worked fine.

Suddenly today it doesn't work anymore and I constantly get this error message when I type something in the chat box in openai studio:

The extensions chat completions operation must have at least one extension.

I looked it up but found no related results.

Can someone help me out, why it worked two weeks ago, but now not anymore?

I understand that you are running in to the error The extensions chat completions operation must have at least one extension. and this was working fine initially.

Could you confirm which region you are using?
Also please confirm if you are using the Azure Cognitive Search for your data in the chat playground ?

I also started experiencing this issue Yesterday.

It worked in the morning and then started giving this error through the middle of the day. It's still broken as I type this.

I use UK South. Azure OpenAI GPT-4 with Cognitive Search + Vector Search.

Same issue East US, Cognitive Search with storage set to support CORS...tried gpt-35-turbo 301 documented as supporting bring your own data...

I repeatedly experienced issue this on Nov 14th on chrome. I switched to Edge and did not get the issue. On the 15th, I switched back to chrome without issue.

@Ahmed Abdellatef We appreciate your patience on this and please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused due to this issue.

The fix has been deployed to all regions. Please test this again and confirm if it is working fine.

**** Updates **

Here is the RCA for the issue:

Why it happened -

We released a bugfix for Data Source Dropdown Not Reset, that caused the regression, making the AddYourData not usable flow throwing the error. We were setting the Datasource as null once the modal submits, which caused the entire AddYourData to have no dataSources a parameter in the payload.

What was the mitigation-

The issue was identified on Friday night at 11:00 PM PST and was change was deployed on Monday at 11:32 AM PST. We reverted the change from the bugfix that was merged.

Next Steps-

We already have set up our end-to-end testing framework for Project Wednesday and will be adding more tests for all our hero scenarios this semester. This is in the plan for the team.

I have tested for east US, France, Switzerland and it is working fine. Could you please retest for West Europe again ? Could you also try readding the data source and confirm if it works fine ?

It is now working in US-East but on first test still had the error -- I then removed my data source from the Chat Playground (resetting it), then once I re-added the data source (which is Cognitive Search indexing of PDF documents), it is working great! I didn't look at the Python code before and after--assuming that's what is fixed?
