How to paste equations from desktop ms word to web browser ms word

As title , when copy equation in Ms word desktop app and try to paste it in to Ms word in website it didn’t work. What a solution of it

    Upload your desktop file to OneDrive or SharePoint, then open it in Word for the web.

    Based on my tests, copying or pasting equations are not supported on Word online currently. Thanks for your understanding.

    Equation-related functions are constantly improving on Word online.

    As a workaround, I suggest you open the documents by Word desktop app instead of Word online, then you may copy and paste the equations.
