My recent use of Outlook has been successful until yesterday afternoon, when Outlook could not be opened. The message is that the path specified for the file C:\Users\george\Documents\outlook\Files******@comcast.net.pst is not valid.

    Hi @george honnold

    Welcome to our forum!

Is the error message you getting like this?

    User's image

The PST file that Outlook is trying to access appears to be missing, corrupted, or with an invalid path, which could be due to various reasons such as accidental deletion, disk failure, or improper configuration.

Please check that the default path can find the data file and fix it if needed.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Mail > Data files > Click on Add > Give a name to the data file and click on Ok > Choose the data file which you have created > Click on Set as default. Start Outlook and check if it helps. Then remove the old .pst after creating the new.

    Hope this helps!
