Microsoft 365 Business Standard + Purview Audit Logs

I own a Microsoft 365 business standard subscription, and I am wondering if possible to enable Audit Logs on the Microsoft Purview portal. I can do it, and it works fine, but reading the documentation it looks like Audit is just for Microsoft 365 Enterprise subscriptions: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/audit-log-search

Why I am able to enable Audit on Microsoft 365 business standar subscription? Am I maybe missunderstanding the documentation, and it is actually possible to enable it with business standard subscription? I am asking because I am concerned about Microsoft policy compliance. Thank you very much.

Audit is included in all Office 365/Microsoft 365 subscriptions and standalone plans, you are fine to use it.

I read that comment but in other Microsoft documents you can find this:

"For users assigned any other (non-E5) Office 365 or Microsoft 365 license, audit records are retained for 180 days. For a list of Office 365 and Microsoft 365 subscriptions that support unified audit logging, see the subscription requirements for Audit (Standard) and Audit (Premium)."

Then if you get the pdf, only M365 Enterprise subscriptions are shown.

You are reading this out of context, the point just above this paragraph tells you how things work for M365 Enterprise subscriptions. "Any other" applies to M365 Business as well.
