Unable to change outlook appearance even after disabling dark mode.

Hello,

I have outlook installed on a MacBook Pro M2 running Sonoma 14.1.1. I unchecked "Turn off Dark Mode" under "Outlook Settings > Personal Settings > General > Personalise". However, I still do not get the option to change the blue theme to white.

Please assist.

Thank you. I have the latest version "Outlook for mac", v16.79.2 (License: Microsoft 365 subscription). I tried the Outlook application from the app store as well which is the same version.

Looks like you want to change the Theme of Outlook client. Please note it is only available in New Outlook for Mac. More information: Themes in Outlook for Mac.

I justed reinstalled outlook from the app store. In the link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/the-new-outlook-for-mac-6283be54-e74d-434e-babb-b70cefc77439 under "How to try the new experience" the screen-shot indicates how to enable new outlook but I dont see that option on my outlook app.

My environment meets all the criteria mentioned. A colleague of mine with same setup has the option. I am clueless at this point :(.

How did your colleague install the Outlook client?

I notice that you installed Outlook for Mac via App Store and you have Microsoft 365 subscription, it's suggested that you could uninstall it and refer to this official article to install Microsoft 365: Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2021 on a PC or Mac to check if there're any differences.

The same way as me. We downloaded the office app by logging into office.com with work account credentials.

Please check the below information, if "Revert to Legacy Outlook" option is shown, it means that you are currently using New Outlook.
