Can't delete old bitlocker recovery keys (again)

Hi,

Once again I'm having a problem that it seems to be from Microsoft, I can't remove my old bitlocker keys. Tried for days but no luck. It says:

Try again later

Something went wrong, and we can't delete this recovery key right now.

Is there anyone having the same problem?

Thanks in advance,

Ivan

Same issue here. I go through the remove link on all listed entries, then I refresh the page and they all reappear.

    Very annoying.

    Hi Ivan

If you want to delete the bitlocker recovery key, you need to turn off BitLocker protection first, and then delete the recovery key file or remove the recovery key from your Microsoft account.

What I need to confirm is if you tried to remove the bitlocker recovery key from your Microsoft account but failed?

    Have you followed these steps?

    • Open a web browser on another device.
    • Go to Microsoft Account to find the recovery key.
    • Select the device for which you want to remove the recovery key, and then click Remove.

    Hope the information is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian

Hi Hania, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, that didn't work.

I tried encrypting and decrypting another drive (same PC), and then removing the associated recovery key but the problem persists.

It seems to be a problem on Microsoft's behalf. Is there any way of reporting this behaviour to Microsoft?

    Thank you.

Edit: this problem is happening on https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey

I need to bump up this thread to see if anyone else is having the same problem or it's just me. Now I have two orphan keys and can't remove neither.
