Do not show "Try the new Outlook" toggle for all our Windows devices

Some users turn on "Try the new Outlook", but they are disappointed with the new version due to the lack of many features. How can I disable this toggle for Windows devices to avoid noise?

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

    1,We can use Intune configuration policy to hide the "Try the new Outlook" toggle . Go to Configuration Profiles -> Create profile -> Windows 10 -> Administrative Templates -> User Configuration ->Hide the “Try the new Outlook” toggle in Outlook . As shown below.

    Hide New Outlook Toggle in Outlook Desktop App using Intune

    hide

    2,We can also use the registry to disable the New Outlook toggle in Outlook Desktop and deploy below registry to the Windows devices.

    This value hides the Try the new Outlook" toggle in Outlook Desktop:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\General]

    "HideNewOutlookToggle"=dword:00000001

    Never in a million years would I willingly give up .pst files, as I have nearly 30 years of emails stored in them. I'd really like to disable this garbage, lest I accidentally blow up my world.

    Make certain to create a set registry flag in group policy to prevent the auto-migration in Jan -> February 2025, from the working Classic Outlook to the partially-functional New-Outlook.

    Microsoft have decided that they can and will break the workflows of any organisation that makes heavy use of Shared folders for collaboration, or on-premise Exchange.

    Microsoft are too contemptuous of its subscribers to even create a group policy to manage this advance of the breakage they will inflict.

    Starting in January 2025, users with Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Premium licenses are automatically migrated from the classic Outlook for Windows to new Outlook for Windows. Users receive in-app notifications before the migration and can opt out of the automatic migration through Outlook Options > General.

    The Registry edit mentioned above works! The "Try the New Outlook" toggle disappeared! Pasted instructions below so you don't have to search:

    2,We can also use the registry to disable the New Outlook toggle in Outlook Desktop and deploy below registry to the Windows devices.
