    • On both devices:
• Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Sharing options.
        • Under Private, ensure Network discovery and File and printer sharing are turned On.
    • On both devices:
      • Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change advanced sharing settings.
        • Under All Networks, turn off password protected sharing.
          • Click Save changes.
    • On both devices:
      • Right-click This PC > Properties > Advanced system settings.
        • Under the Computer Name tab, check if the Workgroup name is identical on both devices. If not, change it to match.
    • Temporarily disable Firewall.

    Hi Fadi,

Apart from disabling the password protect sharing setting, please also try to create a local user with password on the network machine whose shared drive or folder or file.

    1. Open Control Panel.

    2. Click on Administrative Tools, then Computer Management.

    3. In the left panel, open Local Users and Groups.

    4. Open the Users folder which appears.

    5. In the menu at the top, click Action, and the New User in the menu.

    6. In the New User box that appears, fill out the Username and Password fields.

After creating the account completely, share the folder/file to the created account or everyone. Then try to access and see if it takes effect.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
