Hello Here’s how you can split your screen into two when using Remote Desktop Connection: Install DisplayFusion on the remote computer. Open the Start Menu, click Run. Type mstsc /span into the pop-up box and hit Enter. (Remember that the two monitors need the same resolution for this to work). Enter the name of the remote computer and hit Connect. Run the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration window, click where it says Splits and Padding. Open the remote machine in the RDP session and click Preset Splits. Select the 2×1 option. (Select another option if using more monitors). Click OK and then hit OK again to close the configuration mode. Your monitor should now be divided into two virtual monitors inside of the remote desktop session. DisplayFusion monitor allows you to split the screen horizontally or vertically and you can set the width and height to the right resolution so you can see both desktops at the same time. If you’re using the Microsoft Remote Desktop client app, you can also use the command mstsc.exe /multimon. The “Use all my monitors for the remote session” box will be checked automatically, but for this time only. If the two versions are not matching, you can still get remote access, but you won’t be able to split the screen. However, DisplayFusion can help you split screens in that case.
Remote Desktop Connection, how to use 2 windows, with 1 screen

I have 1x large screen, the Samsung C49RG90SS* and I do all my work off the Remote Desktop connection. However, I need to split the screen into 2, when logged into RDP, so I can have, for example, excel on 1 side, and outlook on the other side. As it stands at the moment, I can only open up one program, which stretches across the whole screen.
