I have installed Window Server 2022Std, during the window update all patches are installed properly but KB5034439 is not installing and showing error 0x80070643. Please suggest how to resolve this issue.2022std edition patch error1.PNG

Hi Rishi, Did you rebooted the server and tried reinstalling the patch? Might be previous reboot is waiting for the process to clear up. Check the event logs for more detailed information.

Checked to restart the server but no luck. Tried to download this KB "KB5034439" to install manually but did not find this KB from Microsoft catalog.

The steps don't work on Azure VMs where the volume is encrypted. It will not let you create a Recovery partition on an encrypted disk.

Hello, When you try to apply this update on a PC that has no recovery partition, the update is unsuccessful, and you will receive the error 0x80070643 ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE. You do not need this update if the PC does not have a recovery partition. In this case, the error can be safely ignored. Is there any way how can I fix this issue? I saw in disk management there is a recovery partition and the size is approx 650 MB the server is on the Azure cloud. Is any other Recovery partition required?

Recovery partion is enable and recovery partion disk having more than 500 MB free space. Still the update is failing
