Title: Inconsistent Caller Identification on Teams: iOS vs. Desktop/Android

Scenario:

We have developed a Microsoft Teams bot using the Bot Framework and Teams Toolkit. The bot facilitates calls between users when a specific button is clicked. The expected behavior is that when the bot initiates a call, the caller's name (bot's name) should be displayed consistently across all platforms.

Issue:

While the caller's name is correctly displayed during incoming calls initiated by the bot on Desktop and Android platforms, users on iOS devices experience a lack of caller identification. Instead of showing the bot's name, the iOS Teams app displays "Unknown Caller."

Steps Taken:

  1. Verified the bot's configuration and settings using the Teams Toolkit.
  2. Checked and ensured consistent bot name and identification details across platforms.
  3. Reviewed notification settings on the iOS Teams app to confirm proper configuration.
  4. Ensured all users are using the latest version of the Teams app on their respective devices.

Request for Assistance:

We kindly request your assistance in investigating and resolving this issue. If there are specific considerations or settings for iOS that we may have overlooked, or if there are known issues addressed in recent updates, please provide guidance on how to rectify the inconsistency in caller identification.

Additional Information:

  • Microsoft Teams App Version on iOS: 6.1.0
  • Microsoft Teams App Version on Desktop: 23320.3110.2622.1325
  • Android Teams App Version: 1416/1.0.0.220235001
  • Bot Framework and Teams Toolkit Versions: v5.4.0
