Microsoft New Teams Performance Issues Starting 1/26/2024

My workspace has been using Microsoft Teams without issue until swapping to the new version. A few users had issues when swapping initially, but as of 1/26/2024 nearly every user is having performance issues. Some users have tried swapping back to Classic Teams but when we do, we only have messages from before the transition, no current messages.

    Hi @Simon Dean According to our research, it seems that a number of users are experiencing this problem. And Microsoft is aware of these issues and is working on fixes. Meanwhile, to solve the issue more quickly, we recommend you give the feedback in Teams UserVoice. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.

    Same issue here. Not all messages are getting sent/received. Some messages taking 5-10 minutes to get sent over. Switching to old teams only show old messages.

    Same here. Wondering if there's any update? I tried both old version of Team and new version, the result is the same. Super delay of the message sending.

    Our organization is also experiencing this. It seems most of North America is. I found this status report, there was supposed to be an update already but I have not seen anything.

    Title: Some users may experience multiple issues with their Microsoft Teams User impact: Users may experience multiple issues with their Microsoft Teams. More info: Affected scenarios include, but aren't limited to:

    • Users performing a cold boot may not able to log into teams and will see a "oops" page.
    • Users logging in or unlocking their devices after some time may see missing messages. Current status: Our review of service telemetry indicates a portion of database infrastructure that facilitates multiple APIs is experiencing a networking issue, resulting in impact. We're continuing our investigation to isolate the underlying cause of the networking issue and develop remediation actions. Scope of impact: Impact is specific to users in North America or the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. Next update by: Friday, January 26, 2024, at 6:30 PM UTC
