Finding the scale up and down history for a Premium v3 app service

I'm trying the automatic (preview) scale feature that is available to Premium app services. In particular, I'm looking for a way to see when a scale up or down has occurred, however, I'm unable to find it. Previously, when you defined your own rules, you could see the "run history" and also get notifications when a scale operation was triggered. However, with the automatic scale, this option doesn't seem to be present. Could someone please advise on where to find the run history of the scale operation when automatic scale is used?

You can leverage either All scaling operations or scaling operations detectors under configuration and management in Diagnose and solve problems_ of your app service to know more details about the history of the automatic scaling operations.

@B A Thanks for the follow-up questions and patience on this.

Currently, we don't have any direct signal in azure monitor to create an alert mechanism/trigger an alert when automatic scaling got triggered.

If the automatic scaling operation is getting populated under activity logs, then using the custom log search option you can write an kql query and use it as an signal for the alert mechanism.

Refer to this documentation, on how to create an alert using the custom log search.

I would suggest you to raise a feedback request here. Our engineering team will be actively monitoring these requests and based on the feasibility they work towards its implementation.
