Are the two terminologies the same? If not, what is the distinction between them?

    Hi Krithika,

Yes, they are the same thing. Microsoft Entra ID is the current name. Azure AD was the old name.

    Hi Krithika Kumar,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

    They're one and the same.

Microsoft Entra ID is the updated name for what was previously known as Azure Active Directory, Azure AD, or AAD.
