When updating a user's attribute I receive an error code. "operation failed error code 0x57 the parameter is incorrect"

This attribute is EmployeeID and is populated by an automation from Connect to AD or manually. When we want to make the attribute Null it gives the error.

May I ask which attribute value you want to modify? Can other properties be modified normally? The reason I found out is that the parameter value you want to modify does not comply with the rules set by the system. For example, you want to change the parameter value from A to B, but the parameter value B is not allowed in the system rules, which leads to the modification failure. I get this error when trying to leave the attribute blank (Null). The attribute is for EmployeeID and is populated both manually and via automation from Connect to AD tool. We use a dynamic smart group to enroll users into a training program and this attribute is the trigger to place them in this group.
