Azure AD B2C IEF (Custom Policy)

Azure AD B2C Identity Experience Framework (IEF) allows a deeper customization of the UI/UX of CIAM through coding using XML /CSS/ HTML. This is a grey area for the Azure AD administrators who manages the IAM infra (User and App authentication and authorization) and have limited or no knowledge in coding for complex API calls.

My questions are -

  1. Who should be the target audience if we plan a training for Azure AD B2C (IEF)
  2. What should be the pre-requisite (prior knowledge) for the same
  3. Is there any Microsoft certification that covers Azure AD B2C (IEF)

Thanks

    Hi @Bishnu Baliyase ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I can understand your concern and agreed with you regarding the complexity of custom policies.

Considering this, we have come up Microsoft Entra External ID which is our next generation CIAM platform that represents an evolutionary step in unifying secure and engaging experiences across all external identities including customers, partners, citizens, and others, within a single, integrated platform.

Currently this is under preview, demo and trial are available for customers to explore the different scenarios and features of the service and learn how to configure them in their own environment.

Regarding B2C, please find my response inline.

    1. Who should be the target audience if we plan a training for Azure AD B2C (IEF) - The target audience for training on Azure AD B2C (IEF) would be developers who are responsible for customizing the user interface and user experience of your CIAM solution. This could include front-end developers, web developers, and UX designers.
    2. What should be the pre-requisite (prior knowledge) for the same -The prerequisites for training on Azure AD B2C (IEF) would include understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Custom policies can be fully edited by an identity developer to complete many different tasks. Additionally, developers should have experience working with APIs and web services.
    3. Is there any Microsoft certification that covers Azure AD B2C (IEF) -There is no specific Microsoft certification that covers Azure AD B2C (IEF). However, there is a guide and training which will walk you through these solutions. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory-b2c/solution-articles

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks,

    Shweta
