I could not select free tier in the pricing type

When I try to create a Translator with the region 'West Europe', I am unable to select the 'free tier' plan. I receive the following message:

The free version (F0) for this resource type is already being used by your subscription and therefore is not displayed in the dropdown list below.

However, this is no longer the case. All items within 'Deleted resources' have also been cleaned up. Additionally, I have logged out and logged back in several times, but unfortunately, this did not help.

How can I resolve this?

Verify Usage: Double-check your resource usage to confirm whether any resources are still using the free tier. Even if resources are deleted, there might be a delay in updating usage metrics. You can view your resource usage in the Azure portal under Cost Management + Billing > Cost Analysis.

Remove Dark Mode: If dark mode is being used on your browser and it appears that the selection color has been hard-coded by Microsoft. It happens to match the dark mode color for the page, so that anything selected as you clicked on them could not be seen. The Select button is located way down at the bottom of the page.

Try Different Regions: If possible, try creating the Translator resource in a different Azure region. Sometimes, specific regions may have different availability or restrictions on free tier usage.

Clear Browser Cache: Clear your browser cache and cookies or try using a different browser to rule out any browser-related issues that might be causing the problem.

Wait for Updates: Sometimes, it may take some time for changes to reflect accurately in the Azure portal. If you've recently made changes to your subscription or resource usage, wait for some time and try again later.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with selecting the free tier plan for Translator in the Azure portal. If the problem persists, contacting Azure support would be the best course of action for further assistance.

Thank you for the quick response.

I can confirm that my resource usage (1) is empty under Cost Analysis.

Point 2 cannot be the cause, as I specifically receive the message that the free version is already being used for this resource type. See screenshot. When I select another region, for example, North Europe, the free plan is available. Choosing another region seems to be a workaround?

Other browsers and clearing the cache (4) also unfortunately do not resolve the issue. I've been encountering this problem since Wednesday afternoon, and it shouldn't take so long for an update (5) to be implemented, right?

Hi, Yes, as some regions may have different availability or restrictions on free tier usage as West Europe may be in high demand and may be unavailable due to capacity constraints. so this is the current work around or solutions

And if it is mandatory for you to get in same region , then I suggest reaching out to the Azure Subscription Management Team for region enablement by submitting a support request

Hello @StevenMINDD , Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A Platform.

There is a limit of only one allowed 'Free' account, per resource type, per subscription.

The issue could be due to an existing Free tier resource that has already been created in that particular resource region.

The workarounds would be trying different region or deleting the existing one and choosing different region or upgrading the Free pricing tier to standard tier if quota is utilized. Please always choose the best that fits with your subscription limits and needs.
