update, still haven’t gotten into this thing. My wife bought it for me last year, and I just got out of the hospital from a terrible crash. Would love to utilize this gem.

I have a HP laptop that I'm locked out of. I didn't get the malware out in time, and it locked me out of the computer by changing the login password and the admin password. I can't log in to the computer to remove the malware, and I can't access the BIOS to reset the passwords.

    Hello,

In this case, the only solution is probably to reinstall the system.

It is recommended that you contact HP Customer Support or a technical professional for more detailed guidance.

If you are locked out of your HP laptop due to a changed login or admin password, you can use the Self-Service Portal to regain access to Windows without having to ask your Help Desk for assistance. To do this, you will need to enter a minimum of eight of the 32-digit BitLocker Key ID that is displayed on the BitLocker recovery screen of your computer into the Recovery KeyId field on the Self-Service Portal. If the first eight digits match multiple keys, a message displays that requires you to enter all 32 digits of the recovery key ID. Then, select a reason for your request for the recovery key in the Reason field and click Get Key. Your BitLocker recovery key is displayed in the “Your BitLocker Recovery Key” field. Enter the 48-digit code into the BitLocker recovery screen on your computer to regain access to the computer. If you need further assistance, contact your Help Desk.
