I've downloaded and isntalled the 20231 ARM64 Preview build(.VHDX) and due to install issues, have repeated the process a few times, including creating new virtual machines, and in the process have misplaced the activation key

I would also like to know the answer to this

As the ARM peview is Windows Pro, unless you own the pro version of windows if doesn't seem to work. As i only have Home versions if Windows i feel that paying 200 for a preview version of windows just to activate it seems a bit much

I dont undestant why all features of the ARM preview are not avaliable. To personalize it and see how it works i need to activate it and i cant

I would like someone from Microsoft to address this issue and respond to why all feautres are not available unless it activates. I think on one here would pay 200 for a version of Windows thats is currently in its preview stage Ive not come across this in preview builds of Windows before

It also doesnt help when it tells u that you need to be connected to your organizations network to activate. I mean this seems dumb as home users like me will be testing this preview build too

    Hello,

Based on my search, Windows ARM preview currently requires activation with the Pro version may be due to its development stage. The ARM preview is likely targeting professional developers and organizations which typically have access to the Pro version.

Microsoft requires activation for personalization features as a way to encourage and ensure the purchase of legitimate software. The message about connecting to your organization’s network is likely because the Pro version of Windows is geared towards enterprises, which have different activation methods involving a Key Management Service (KMS) within an organization’s private network.

However, this feedback is very valid for home users interested in trying new builds. I recommend sending this feedback directly to Microsoft.
