How can I move the task bar to the right side of the display in Windows 11?

Hello:

I need to move the task bar to the right side of the laptop display due to minimize repetitive stress injury. Please assist.

    Hi Violetta,

    Windows 11 is designed with the taskbar at the bottom and does not officially support moving it to the sides or top of the screen. Microsoft has explained that moving the taskbar to the right side changes the entire design, including the Start menu and apps, and the current interface and animations are designed for the bottom placement.

    If you do need to move the task bar to the right, you can give a try to third-party tools like ExplorerPatcher which replaces the explorer.

    You cannot do that in Win11. The options are top or bottom. All other customizations were removed.

    It is generally recommended that you upvote the numerous requests to add back customization to the toolbar in Win11 that many other people have made on the Windows feedback tool. The only alternative right now is to use a third party tool like Start11 that allows you to have some of the customizations, but not all, back.
