Keep image source to a file in app data folder

Hi,

I have image source in view model. net 8

How I keep this image source to a file in app data folder?

The src attribute needs to be a URL, not a file path. If you can, put the images in your content/images folder and reference the url to it there. If not, i.e., the file needs to stay where it is, then consider having a controller that can read the image and return it as a ContentResult with the correct mime type and use the url for the controller/action/image-identifier as the src attribute for the image.

<img src="<%= Url.Content( "~/images/thumbnails/" + Model.ThumbnailName ) %>" ...

or

<img src="<%= Url.Action( "thumbnail", "image", Model.ImageID ) %>" ...

The doc not cover saving ImageSource Image property in view model to file? How is can be done?

ImageSource is an abstract class and is just a viewer. the actual implementation used, may give access. Say it is actually a FileImageSource, then look at the File property. If it is a StreamImageSource, then the stream would need to be a buffered stream that could be re-read.
