Hello, I have couple of news post that I want to move them from one Sharepoint site to another. I used power automate to copy the news posts and news posts are successfully copied to destination site then I used "Send an Http request to sharepoint" to update the created and created by properties at destination site. The issue is on the destination site those news posts are not display in the news post webpart and News Post page. On the destination site the page property "Promoted State" is 2 for the News post. Did I missed any steps or any further configuration required to display those copied Post on the News Post page?

Your help will be apricated, Thank you so much in advance!

    Hi @kem104,

Thank you for posting in this community.

Hmm, I'm guessing the problem doesn't appear in moving the page but in News web part, and I'd like to make a few more confirmations to you:

1.Ensure the news post is a post and not a page. You'll know if you see a button for Post or Repost at the top right. Pages will have a Publish or Republish button instead.

2.Edit the web part and make sure you have selected the source of the news stories. If you have a hub site with associated sites you would select all sites in the hub, but if not or while you are testing this just select this site.

If you are using a hub site, then please check if the workaround in this article works for you.

SharePoint Online: News from associated sites are not displayed in the hub News Webpart

In addition, please make sure that users have at least read access to news posts from different sites.

3.Further down the right hand pane, make sure you haven't got anything strange in the Organize section. Unless you want to pin a news story you would normally leave everything at automatic.

    1. Try to use a different browser or your browser's InPrivate mode to see if the news occurs. .

5.Try posting a news item on your target site to see if it will appear in the News web part. If it doesn't appear, try deleting the news web part and adding it again.

6.Check if the same issue occurs with other SharePoint sites.

7.Are other users facing the same problem? View through another computer or account.

It seems that the news posts you copied from one SharePoint site to another are not appearing on the news post webpart and news post page on the destination site. You have already updated the created and created by properties using "Send an Http request to sharepoint". However, the page property "Promoted State" is 2 for the news post on the destination site. According to Microsoft documentation, a Promoted State value of 2 means that the news post is scheduled. You may need to check the scheduling settings of the news post on the destination site to ensure that it is set to be displayed at the appropriate time.

Another thing to check is the audience targeting settings of the news post. If the news post is targeted to a specific audience, it may not be visible to all users on the destination site. You can try removing the audience targeting settings to see if the news post appears on the news post webpart and news post page.

    Hi @kem104,

Thank you for posting in this community.Based on the description of your issue, I created a power automate flow to copy news post pages from one site to another. But the news post page I copied is in the news post webpart of the target site.

    User's image

Attach the details of my flow here. (Copy news post page from 24June site to 24July site.)

You can try again, and if the problem persists, please share the details of the flow you are involved in. Please be careful not to divulge your private information.

Thank you for your time and efforts in advance.

    Hi @Ling Zhou_MSFT ,

Thank you so much for your reply. I created another flow which is exactly the same as your flow. The news post is successfully copied to the site pages library in targeted site. how ever it does not display in the news post page. I have created another Test page which has the News Post webpart. All other news are displayed but not the copied one.

Here are some screenshot for your reference.

In below image from targeted site, Id 152 news post is there and its Promoted State is 2. however this post does not appear on the news webpart on Test-page.aspx

    Webpart configuration is as below.
