After returning from PTO, Visual Studio 2022 is not functioning as expected. All .cs files display completely white text, and features like code navigation (F12), object attribute checks, and autocomplete are non-functional.
This issue occurs in both existing and new solutions.
Steps already taken include:

Removing the file extension and re-adding it solves the problem for me ( e.g. Class.cs -> Class (no extension) -> Class.cs)
Literally the same for me on my Windows 10 PC. Even File Explorer, Yes, the built-in native File Explorer sees the files as "cs file" instead of "C# source file". It is very weird, because both files are added to the project via .csproj in Visual Studio, so they should work exactly the same way. Yet, for both visual studio and for File Explorer, some .cs files are "cs file", without any of the Visual Studio code editor tools being available to them, while some other files are properly categorized as "C# source file".

I couldn’t reproduce your issue in Visual Studio Professional version 17.11.5.
Do you have any third-party extensions installed?
You can temporarily disable or uninstall the installed extensions under Extensions > Manage Extensions > Installed.
Then, re-launch your VS2022 and check it again.
Or you can open the Visual Studio Installer > More > Repair your VS.

I've already tried disabling the extensions, other than GhostDoc I don't have any other extensions in VS, I disabled it already and it keeps happening :(
Disabling any of the other extensions that are there triggers a series of errors when VS is loading and doesn't solve the issue.
What did help was using the Visual Studio Installer and using the option to repair VS.
