Asistance needed for account recovery

Hello,

I had connected my account to the Microsoft Authenticator app. After a while, I removed my account password and started logging in by confirming through the app.

Recently, I accidentally removed my account from the Authenticator app and now I cannot re-add it.

I don’t have a password; the code is sent to the app, but since I removed it, my account is not linked to the app anymore. When I try to recover my account, I receive a code on my phone, which I enter, but then it says a second verification method is needed, and I don't have a second verification method available.

When I submitted a form to Microsoft, I received the following response: "Since you have enabled two-step verification for your account, we are ignoring these requests, but we wanted to let you know..."

My email account is still open on my phone, but I cannot log in from another location. I need your help.

Best regards,

Halit Koşdu

You need to reach out to support.

As u dont have access to the app anymore, the only way to resolve this is to request for Product Support to reset MFA for the affected user for microsoft accounts. Contact Product Support with the email address for the affected user. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/create-ticket

If you have other accounts e.g socials you need to contact their support teams

    See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/xandr/curate/troubleshooting-multi-factor-authentication-mfa?source=recommendations#dont-delete-mfa-app

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you
