Persistent PUA

Windows Security repeatedly identifies a PUA threat. I "Remove" the threat and then an hour or two later the same threat appears. It was suggested that Security is finding reference to the offending file in the archive or history file for Security. I have searched for the history archive or log to delete it but can't find it. Help!

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

To further troubleshoot this issue, please kindly try below steps:

1.Open file explorer and click on "View" on the top ->

    check "show hidden items"

2.Navigate to the Detection History Folder:

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\History\ServiceDetectionHistory

3.Delete the detection history related files in the folder.

4.Meanwhile you can open Windows Security -> Virus & threat protection -> Protection history to clear the history.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
