Hello,

I'm getting this error in the updates section of the VM. I did research for days now but no solution is helping me, hence if some one can guide me in right direction that would be great.

Find the error below:

Assessment failed due to this reason: "4 errors reported. The latest 3 errors are shared in details. To view all errors, review this log file on the machine:[C:\WindowsAzure\Logs\Plugins\Microsoft.CPlat.Core.WindowsPatchExtension\1.5.71] "["Windows update API failed to assess the machine for available updates. Error: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072EFE," indicates a connection issue between your VM and the Windows Update servers. This is a common issue that can arise due to networking and configuration problems.
Check any firewall settings on the VM that might be blocking access to Windows Update.
Also, please ensure that your VM has a proper internet connection. Verify that it can access the internet and that there are no network security group (NSG) rules blocking outbound connections, especially to the Windows Update servers.

If the suggested steps did not work, please review the detailed logs found at the specified path in your error message: - C:\WindowsAzure\Logs\Plugins\Microsoft.CPlat.Core.WindowsPatchExtension\1.5.71.The logs may provide additional error codes and information that can guide you in troubleshooting.

Below is the current NSG config i have my on the VM, can suggest if this might be blocking any connectivity to windows update ?
