Dear Team,

I am writing to report an issue with the copy and paste functionality in Microsoft Copilot. Currently, I am unable to copy or paste any text within the application. Despite multiple attempts, the standard copy and paste commands (Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V) are not working as expected.

Could you kindly investigate this issue and provide a resolution at your earliest convenience?

Thank you for your assistance.

I finally was able to copy using the Ctrl C and Ctrl V... The mouse clicks do not work at all. I hope they fix this annoyance!

From the discussions I've had with Copilot itself, it seems that the developers may consider a non-working Ctrl+C a feature. If you highlight text you want to copy and right-click on it, the resulting context window does contain a Copy item, which does copy the highlighted text. However, that same context menu also indicates that you can also use Ctrl+C to copy, which is obviously not the case. I've always believed that no information is preferable to wrong information, but I may be wrong on that opinion. I think the Copilot developers should take five minutes and simply remove Ctrl+C from the context menu, since that's probably much easier and quicker than actually fixing the problem.

The problem with making Ctrl-C a non-op is that it's counter to the standard UI design pushed by Microsoft and other organizations for the past 30+ years. Effectively, having a copy/paste operation that does not use Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V makes the application counterintuitive and poor UX.

Similar to providing a Copy button that doesn't allow me to paste the file to my desktop or folders is poor UX.
