no sound devices after upgrade to win 11 ver 24h2 on 2-24-2025

I installed windows 11 upgate to ver 24H2 on 2-24-2025. Since then, I have no sound. windows indicates "no output devices found." How do I get my audio devices back?

    Hi,

    Please open Device Manager (devmgmt.msc) to see if you can find the sound device under Sound, video and game controllers. If yes, right click on the device and select update driver. If the issue persists, select uninstall the device and reboot.

    If you cannot find your sound device, try connecting the device to a different port. If the device isn't yet connected, install the device-specific driver first by using the installer for the device and then connect the device.
