IPAM - Access blocked only on DNS Server

I recenlty installed the Microsoft Ipam feature on a brand new Windows Server virtual machine. The IPAM server, Domain joined, communicates with a DC that Is also a DHCP and DNS server.

I manually configured all the Access settings and configurations needed following the Microsoft guide.

Now if I go in DNS and DHCP servers tab I see that the DNS Server Is in "access blocked" state, the DHCP server Is in Running state instead.

The only way I found to make the DNS server in a running state as well Is to give the IPAM server the Domain Admin permission.

Has someone experienced the same issue? If yes did you find a solution?

    Please follow the steps below | worked with me.

    1- Restart DC or server has the role you want to manage.

    2- On IPAM server, right click and uncheck DNS and change manageability to unspecified then press ok.

    3- On IPAM server, right click and check again DNS then press ok.

    4- On IPAM server, right click and change manageability to managed then press ok.

    Hello,

    The DNS server is in the problem of "access to be prevented". You can try to solve it through the following steps:

    1. On the IPAM server, go to Server Inventory and select the DNS server that is showing as blocked.
    2. Mark the DNS server as "Managed" to add its computer object to the appropriate IPAM Group Policy Objects (GPOs) that contain scheduled tasks and firewall rules.
    3. On the DNS server, run the command gpupdate /force to apply the GPOs.
    4. On the IPAM server, go to Server Inventory and select the DNS server again. Refresh the server access status, and it should now be unblocked.
