Something went wrong and your PIN isn't availible.

Recently my windows 11 laptop has had me change my pin repeatedly (about once a week in the past month) due to this error, after waking it up from sleep sometimes it simply refuses to accept the pin and requests that I confirm my identity using 2FA and reset my pin. I can't tell what causes the issue and it clearly remembers my pin since it wont allow me to set my new pin to a previously used pin code. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello William Gao1,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on the description, it seems your machine is in your organization network.

If you are sure your PIN function is disabled by your organization, the best and quickest way to resolve this issue is to contact your university's IT support or help desk. They have the authority and tools to reset your PIN or enable the PIN function.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou

After looking into it further I found that my organization (likely my university) has disabled my pin, however when I try to sign in it forces me to make a new pin only for it to fail. This has become a little annoying to deal with. Is there any way to stop this?
