Hello,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.
If your laptop is Windows 11 24H2, you need to make sure that your computer has installed the latest Windows update, which is KB5048667 or later. This can be done through the Windows Update feature.

If you've already installed the latest update and the problem persists, here are some things you can try:
- Windows 11 has some built-in printer drivers, but you need to get the latest version through a system update. You can check for updates by clicking on the Start menu, opening Settings > Update & Security >Windows Update", and installing any available updates. After the update, restart your computer and the system will automatically detect and install the appropriate printer driver.
- Windows 11's security settings may be preventing the driver from installing. You can turn off the firewall for active networks by opening Settings > Update & Security >Windows Security", going to Firewall & Network Protection.
- Improper connection may cause the driver to fail to install. Make sure the printer is powered on and properly connected to your computer (USB, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth). Try replacing the USB port or cable to troubleshoot hardware issues. For network printers, verify that the printer and computer are on the same LAN.
- If the automatic installation of the driver fails, you can try to add the printer driver manually. Select Add Device in Printers & Scanners, and then select Add Manually, and use the Use existing ports option to make sure the USB printer has selected the correct port (e.g., USB001).
- Restart your computer, check if the printer driver is up to date, if not, update the printer driver.
