Xpress Samsung M2070W unable to run on win 11 No Drivers or Software Made Available.

I am looking for resolution to an issue i am encountering whereby I am unable to find any Win 11 drivers or software in order to instal and actually use a Samsung M2070W printer scanner on win 11 laptop.

I try to add device but win 11 fails to connect my device.

Windows searches then asks for WPS code which i input but fails to connect.

Can anyone point me in right direction as i am annoyed that after buying new win 11 laptop it does not support my printer.

Both HP website offers no new drivers or software and Samsung website no longer works as HP took over Samsung printers.

Absolutely shocking that no win 11 drivers are available.

Does this mean that my Samsung M2070W which ran flawlessly on win 10 will now not in fact supported by Microsoft win 11.

Any help appreciated

thanks in advance

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

If your laptop is Windows 11 24H2, you need to make sure that your computer has installed the latest Windows update, which is KB5048667 or later. This can be done through the Windows Update feature.

    2024 年 12 月 10 日 - KB5048667(操作系统内部版本 26100.2605)- Microsoft 支持

If you've already installed the latest update and the problem persists, here are some things you can try:

    1. Windows 11 has some built-in printer drivers, but you need to get the latest version through a system update. You can check for updates by clicking on the Start menu, opening Settings > Update & Security >Windows Update", and installing any available updates. After the update, restart your computer and the system will automatically detect and install the appropriate printer driver.
    2. Windows 11's security settings may be preventing the driver from installing. You can turn off the firewall for active networks by opening Settings > Update & Security >Windows Security", going to Firewall & Network Protection.
    3. Improper connection may cause the driver to fail to install. Make sure the printer is powered on and properly connected to your computer (USB, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth). Try replacing the USB port or cable to troubleshoot hardware issues. For network printers, verify that the printer and computer are on the same LAN.
    4. If the automatic installation of the driver fails, you can try to add the printer driver manually. Select Add Device in Printers & Scanners, and then select Add Manually, and use the Use existing ports option to make sure the USB printer has selected the correct port (e.g., USB001).
    5. Restart your computer, check if the printer driver is up to date, if not, update the printer driver.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this doesn´t work. The problem exists since 2022 and nobody seemed to have bothered to support this. This is a common laser printer scanner combo device that stands the test of time. Neither Microsoft nor HP seem to value their customers or are interested in long time support when you get bombarded with green "ECO" settings in windows 11 and on printer websites. This is very frustrating.

Hello friend! I was having the same problem and thanks to your support it worked, I clicked on the link and selected all the applications, installed them all and it worked. Thank you, big hug from Brazil.
