"Invalid Drive: G:\" when installing Fortnite installer... whats wrong?

I have been online with Geek Squad controlling my computer for the past 3 hours trying to figure out why I can't download Fortnite. They performed many updates and cleaned up a good amount of bad files but I still receive the same message from the Epic Games installer (Invalid Drive: G:) and I have no clue what I can do at this point. They specifically told me to call Microsoft at a number without an area code (696-7786) to see if you could fix it. I know that is a bad number. Please help!?!?!?

    Hello

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

The error message "Invalid Drive: G:" usually indicates that the installer is trying to access a drive that does not exist or is not accessible. This error can occur if the drive letter G:\ is assigned to a removable storage device that is not currently connected to your computer.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Open File Explorer and check if there is a G:\ drive listed. If there is, try disconnecting any removable storage devices that may be using that drive letter.
    2. If there is no G:\ drive listed, you can try changing the drive letter of any removable storage devices that are currently connected to your computer. To do this, right-click on the device in File Explorer, select "Change Drive Letter and Paths", and then choose a different letter.
    3. If neither of these steps work, you can try running the Fortnite installer as an administrator. To do this, right-click on the installer file and select "Run as administrator".

    Best Regards,

    Zack Lu
