Hi,

We currently have a HPE Proliant Gen 10 server which is running with Windows server 2016. There is a new software that we want to install which recommends using Windows server 2019 or newer.

We would like to know if there is a free upgrade option available from 2016 to 2019 (or 2022).

TIA

    Hi INSTT_ME,

you can upgrade your server by purchasing a license for Windows Server 2019 or 2022 and then performing an in-place upgrade. This will allow you to keep your existing applications and settings while upgrading to the latest version of Windows Server.

Please note that you will need to ensure that your server meets the minimum system requirements for Windows Server 2019 or 2022 before performing the upgrade.

    Kind regards,

    Lei
