2024-12-20T10:47:44+00:00 The critical piece of information that is missing (both from the message in the pop-up, and from this answer) is which is the app than cannot run on this pc.
I find it very surprising that this vital piece of information is missing from the pop-up's message. Doesn't the operating system know which app has failed to run?
Given that the message does not tell us, how do we find out which is the problematic app?

2025-01-21T01:42:00+00:00 As others have mentioned, I have no way to know which app is having a problem. Everything seems to be running normally and by the time the error flashes up, presumably the app in question could be unloaded from memory. Anyway, I can't see which one of the 105 processes I have running is missing or is having a problem.
I can dismiss the error and don't see any further issues until it pops up again.
Microsoft, please fix this annoyance.
Thanks
John

2024-07-12T02:05:32+00:00 Hello,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community!
When you encounter the error "This app can't run on your PC," it usually means that the application you're trying to install or run is not compatible with your current operating system or hardware configuration. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Check System Requirements:
Ensure that your PC meets the minimum system requirements for the application. Check the software publisher's website for details. Some applications require specific versions of the .NET Framework. You might need to reinstall or update the .NET Framework on your system.
2. Verify Compatibility Mode:
Right-click on the application's setup file or executable, select Properties > Compatibility, and try running the program in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows.
3. Run as Administrator:
Sometimes applications require elevated permissions to run properly. Try right-clicking on the app and selecting "Run as administrator."
4. Check for 32-bit vs. 64-bit:
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows 11, make sure the application is also 64-bit. Running a 32-bit application on a 64-bit system should work, but not vice versa.
Kind Regards,
Karlie
