Having issues installing legacy patches on 2019 server with office 2013

Hi Folks,

I am having some issues when I am addressing some vulnerabilities that seem to be applicable to the Office 2013 suite on 2019 OS. The vulnerabilities are :

Ms13-074 Ms14-001 Ms14-017 Ms14-023 Ms14-081 Ms15-081 Ms15-116 Ms16-015 Ms16-029 MS16-099 Ms16-133

So there does seem to be some applicability for to the stack and validity to the vulnerability. However when I install using dism it gives the "file not found" error :

The system cannot find the file specified.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

I have tried the sfc /scan now and the various dism clean options with no avail. I tried extracting the .msp file from the .cab file and tried installing the .msp file and get the message that this is patch is not applicable. I am wondering if there is something I am missing or if this is a glitch of some sort on the part of the installer/os/package nexus.

    Based on the description, I understand your question is related to Office 2013.

    Office 2013 has reached the end of support on April 11, 2023. After this date, support for Office 2013 will end and security updates will no longer be available.

    Microsoft Office 2013 - Microsoft Lifecycle | Microsoft Learn

    Microsoft suggest start upgrading to Microsoft 365 Apps, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Alternatively, for organizations requiring a static, unchanging product, consider moving to Office LTSC 2021.
