Hi there,
so i'm new to Hyper V, and recently i've been trying to setup a VM on my windows 10 pro system, and setting up a win 10 pro in hyper v, but i run out into fewer problems and i wish if anyone can suggest a solution to this,
- the first problem is .i can't seem to connect a usb network adapter into my VM, as i came from Vbox, it was easy plug and play, my mobo don't have a wifi card, but i m always connected to Ethernet, so i bought a wireless usb (TP link) hoping to connect it with Hyper v, but i can't, i tried the method of guest services in Integration services, but it doesn't show up, also tried the method of virtual switch, but i keep receiving an error " element not found ", so i was thinking, should i plug my mobo with a wifi card then retry the virtual switch, or should i just give up ? also i saw on the internet some paid solution for usb pass-through but they sound so expensive for a small problem, or for free if it's from windows to Linux.
-the second problem is, when i installed windows enterprise at first, i was able to run it on enhanced session mode, but when i installed a new VM with Windows 10 pro ( still not yet activated) that feature is greyed out, even when the option to enable it is checked, is there any workarround or anything i'm missing, this is not a hard requirement for me but just would love to see it and test it more and compare the performance.
my main goal is to be able to run a VM with a separate wifi connection since i have 2 routers at home, to be able to run some application on different ip addresses on the long run, i'm not an expert in networking but i'd really love to hear some suggestions, and i really like the performance on Hyper v compared to v box, not as laggy.
Thanks in advance.
